Engineering Solutions
We plan & conduct audits at commercial/public buildings & industrial facilities, in order to identify opportunities for improvements. We develop engineering solutions for grassroot measures & retrofits projects. Feasibility studies are integral of all solutions and the foundation of decision making. We support, supervise and monitor commissioning and maintenance processes.
Our scope of expertise includes renewable energy projects such as solar and wind energy, water and waste treatment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building and industrial energy efficiency.
A: Planning & conduction energy audits
We plan and conduct energy audits at public, residential and commercial buildings and industrial facilities in order to determine ways to reduce energy consumption per unit of product output or to lower operating costs.
The outcome of our interventions includes a comprehensive report of our findings (and observations), along with recommendations for improvements for the building envelop, the HVAC system and other energy uses.
B: Developing renewable energy projects
We are specialized in development and realization of renewable energy projects including autonomous, commercial and utility scale solar PV projects, solar thermal water heating systems, and initial assessment of wind energy projects.
Our interventions include prefeasibility studies, site selection, performance modelling and energy yield assessment, detailed design of project components including the structures, electrical and other utilities, specifically for solar PV and thermal projects.
In case of wind energy projects, we are yet focused on wind energy assessment and prefeasibility assessment of wind projects. Detailed wind project design is still out of the scope of our expertise.
C: Conducting on-site inspection and supervision
We have hands on experience in conducting on-site inspections and supervising renewable energy and energy efficiency grassroot and retrofit projects. The outcome of our intervention is a comprehensive report of our findings along with a long list of recommendations for improvements.
In addition to the technical aspects of projects (quality), environmental, health and safety requirements are the integrals of our inspections and supervision.
D: Development of bankable documents
With increasing number of solar PV projects applying for financing – by local and/or international financial institutions – stakeholders involved in the process of approving the project intend to minimize and equally distribute risks among each other.
The bankability assessment is a systematic approach to identify legal, technical and financial risks of PV projects in order to ensure the debt service by predictable and stable cash flows over the entire debt financing period.
Although for each stakeholder the term “bankability” has a somewhat different connotation, the following are common documents requested by almost all financing institutions:
- Solar Resource Assessment (SRA)
- Energy Yield Assessment (EYA)
- Design Basis Report (DBR)
- Business Plan (BP).
Let’s note that these documents are also the basis of a solid decision-making for developers.
