Supporting Yerevan Municipality in planning and installing distributed solar PV systems on the rooftops of multi-apartment buildings in Yerevan in the scope of European Union for Yerevan Solar Community Project (EU4YSC)

Project description
The Project was kicked-off in the 2nd quarter of 2018 and closed in March 2022. The Project is realized at 97 (instead of the initial 90) buildings. According to the EU Delegation to Armenia, this is an ambitious project in its nature and scale, especially considering the high level of social impact.
Services rendered
Coordinating tasks and communication among team of experts, Yerevan Municipality and other stakeholders such as The European Union Programme ‘Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects (CoM-DeP) Support Team
Formulation of policies, procedures & work instructions for:
Site evaluation & selection,
Planning and conducting energy systems audit;
Demand & supply analysis, modernization & standardization of electricity demand for common uses
Modelling & design of solar PV plants (around 100 non-typical systems),
Technical & financial performance analysis and development of business plans and co-financing mechanisms.
Individual solar PV system capacities range from 3.5 to 20 kWp, whereas the cumulative capacity is estimated to be around 700 kWp.
